Does anyone read these?

Hey, so for those of you still interested heres the latest and greatest in my life...

Santa Barbara:
Great Reunion with most of the highschool crew, 7 of us drove down and met up with at least 8 more already down in Isla Vista. Crazy trip, most of which my buddy Tony captured on video (surprised he didnt get arrest or beat up for videotaping at the parties down there). Highlight of the trip was for sure grilling out back at my boy Gabe's place. we cooked steaks, chicken, and salad for our entire crew and anyone else who happened to wander through the backyard. I was proly on the grill for 2 hours by the end of the night. Good Times!! Overall, SB is a great place to visit but the party atmosphere down there was to hectic even for me...it was nice to get back to santa cruz and lay low for a few days

Cabrillo:

Applied and registered for classes at the local community college, pretty smooth process other then the fact that i had to give them a copy to my discharge papers, drivers license and another form of proof of address in order to show i was a resident even though i have claimed CA residency for the last 20 years...you cant escape bureaucracy i guess. As of now I am going to be taking General Pysch, photojournalism, sports nutrition, and some PE classes. I am also taking an EMT course outside of the school. It should be a busy semester but i could really use some direction in my life.

I guess thats the major events since the last post, everything else is more or less what you'd expect: spending lots of time at the beach, seeing the girlfriend, chillin with friends, working on fixing up the house. Doing absolutely NOTHING has been nice too but I am really ready to have a little bit of structure back in my life, i kind of feel like a bum just sitting around so im taking up time by goin to the gym and training in mixed martial arts (if i can keep paying the fees at the dojo)

As for the Future: Right now I'm looking at a quick camping trip doing to the cliffs of big sur with my girlfriend and a couple buddys, dates for the Bahamas are set, dates to move in with my brother are set, and kayaking in Washington is still in the works for this summer. Finally i may have the chance to tag along with a friend on a couple week Euro tour....cross your fingers for that!

If anyone actually reads this still lemmie know...theres no point in writing for an empty house right? Thanks guys, Keep it Irie, we'll be in touch

Cruzin'

so unfortunately no pics yet...still waiting on the trunk to be shipped out.

On sat i landed in san jose and immediately went to get burritos at tacos moreno, a hole in the wall spot but definitely the best carne asada north of the MEXICALI boarder. Wolfed some food, grabbed my board and paddled out at The Hook for a little sunset surf-sesh...an absolutely perfect way to start this adventure.

My mom is working on remodeling the house so it looks like theres gunna be a lot of painting, sanding, and finishing work in my near future. Feels good to help out the family and see the results of my work payoff immediately.

Santa Barbara road trip/highschool crew reunion coming up memorial day weekend and I am still trying to figure out the logistics of an Ireland trip at the end of the month with a handful of kaydets but tickets are pretty expensive because of the late notice. it should still be worth it though.

Pending: my brother graduates highschool in June, roadtrip and backpacking from central california to Alaska. Bahamas at the end of the summer and possibly Lollapolooza music festival in chicago. stay tuned...

sabbatical/good-bye

Most people send some kind of email out to their class...Thomas Harner made a great video...I guess only a management major would make a blog

My hope is to stay in touch with the people i care about at the CGA and kinda let everyone know what the hell im up to so, here goes (and dont worry, its hopefully gunna be more pictures/less words in the future)

Five finals, five days...and the sabbatical check-out sheet which is far more stressful than it needs to be. Almost everything is taken care of and I am getting anxious to leave. I am definitely excited to be taking the time off and i cant wait to get out in the real world and LIVE life more fully. I am gunna miss the hell out of all my friends here and I really hope we stay in touch (the couch is always open guys, fell free to head-on out cali).

The friends i've made here are some of the greatest, most down to earth people you could ask for...I will never forget the great times we've had up in boston, snowboarding in Vermont, playing rugby, football in the snow, Conn trips, parties, formals, and whatever other shit we managed to get ourselves into (and out of). Anyway, Im not gunna make this drawn out or long winded so keep grindin', have a great time this summer, dont forget your roots and make the best outta this 'cuase you only live once.
